Caspian Hayes, a hard‑working NYU architecture student, secretly harbors repressed submissive desires while striving for a future with his greedy girlfriend Sloane. Three years after rescuing wounded mafia don Aurelio Visconti in Sicily, he is abducted and brought to Aurelio's Long Island estate. The ruthless gangster gives him 365 days to fall in love with his captor. Though Caspian repeatedly attempts escape, he witnesses Sloane's betrayal and survives dangerous mafia conflicts. Gradually, he confronts his hidden nature. He voluntarily accepts a collar, surrenders to Aurelio, and transforms from a helpless student into his devoted partner‑turned‑sharp weapon. They defeat hostile forces, and Caspian chooses permanent submission, finding belonging within the so‑called gilded cage.
